Isaiah Leyva

Isaiah Leyva was born and raised in San Francisco. This part of his identity has continued to shape his vision of tattooing. Isaiah is inspired by Bay Area street culture, traditional American flash, and Japanese horimono. With a degree in fine art, Isaiah brings a trained eye and a deep reverence for tattoo history to his one-point and large-scale tattoo designs. He apprenticed with Mark “Mr. Bleed” Valencerina and began his career at Rebel Gallery.

Before joining Studio Kazoku, he worked at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, ultimately leaving his position there to fully commit to tattooing and become part of the Kazoku family. Isaiah, under the tutelage of Jill “Horiyuki” Bonny, has continued to develop his Japanese work and is available for large scale projects. Isaiah is also the graphic designer of the crew and is responsible for all of the shop’s posters and flyers. He is available for art commissions and is here to help materialize your tattoo ideas into permanent works of art.
